Januzaj on his way out with a player potentially on the way in

SUPER FINAL MATCHUP CONFIRMED

Manchester United will face Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 8th of this year. It will be the second meeting between the European Giants inside a month as the teams are also due to play each other in the United States as part of the International Champions Cup. Competitively, United last faced Real back in 2013 during Sir Alex’s last campaign.

JANUZAJ TO BE SOLD

Jose Mourinho has finalized his decision to sell Adnan Januzaj and the player himself will be informed about the decision in a few days’ time. Januzaj had an underwhelming loan spell at relegated Sunderland under David Moyes, who first gave him his chance at Old Trafford. He had a previous spell at Dortmund which was cut short. Now it seems that his time at Old Trafford has run out. United might be tempted to include a buy-back and/or sell-on clause in the deal. A number of Premier League clubs are said to be interested.

CONFIRMED

After reports emerged that Griezmann would reject a transfer to United to stay at Atletico, the player himself confirmed the same in an interview. Griezmann said: “It would be a blow to go now. We talked to the club and we will be back from next season. It’s a hard time for the club, it would be a dirty move to leave now. The CAS sanction has been passed. I’ve decided to stay.”

JOINING THE MBAPPE BRIGADE

Manchester United have joined Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid in the bid to sign Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe. Arsenal reportedly had an £87m bid rejected. United officials agree that Madrid are favourites in this transfer saga but will be ready to break the world record fee they set last year. United are ready to outbid any of their Premier League rivals.

TRANSFER ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT

Manchester United are set to announce the transfer of either Ivan Perisic or Victor Lindelof in the coming week, or if things fall in place favourably both transfers. Ivan Perisic remains on the verge of completing the deal while Portuguese reports state that United are inching closer and closer to a transfer for Swede Victor Lindelof.
