Lindelof fee agreed & Jose loves ‘trouble’

FIRST ONE IN

Manchester United have completed the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica for a fee believed to be in the range of £35m. The statement from United read: “Manchester United is pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with Benfica for the transfer of Victor Lindelof, subject to a medical examination, international clearance and personal terms. A further announcement will be made once the transfer is complete.

Lindelof is expected to arrive in Manchester on Wednesday following his duties with the National Team.

YOUNG ON THE MOVE?

Ashley Young is reportedly a transfer target for Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir. Young has a year left on his current contract and Mourinho is willing to let the utility man leave his summer. The Turkish side are preparing for the Champions League after finishing second in the Turkish top-flight in the previous campaign.

MORE SIGNINGS TARGETED

Manchester United boss reportedly had a conversation with Alvaro Morata on the phone. Mourinho is believed to have said this to the player: “Come with me, you’ll be important”. The player’s agent met with Real’s officials with another meet scheduled for Monday. There is a high probability that the transfer could be sealed on Monday.

DE GEA RELUCTANCE

David De Gea is reportedly reluctant to sign a new contract with Manchester United. The player is happy at Old Trafford but a chance to play at hometown club is too attractive an option to turn down. De Gea is waiting for Real Madrid to convey to him that they would not pursue him.

Reports in Spain suggest that Ibrahimovic could be on his way to Los Angeles Galaxy. Ibrahimovic has been released by United. While the player wants to stay in Europe with resigning with United also possible. He will continue to train at Carrington before making a decision regarding his future.

IN DEMAND

United third-choice keeper Joel Pereira is subject to interest from Portuguese Champions Benfica and Sporting Lisbon. The 20 year old impressed Mourinho and won his Premier League debut in the last game of the campaign. United have also offered him a £20k a week deal.
