Bulletin: United to raid Turin again? And Mourinho names the best player he has managed

UNITED TO PURSUE DYBALA

Manchester United should try and sign Paulo Dybala according to super-agent Mino Raiola. Dybala who was linked with a megabucks move away from Turin only just signed a new contract there but is expected to jump ship in the next few years. Raiola who also facilitated deals for Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic among other players in recent months believes that the Reds should be in the running to sign the Argentine.

MATIC WARNS TEAMMATES

Nemanja Matic has insisted that United will have to win games like the ones against Stoke if they are to have a chance of staging a genuine assault on the title. United fell behind but took the lead only give it away cheaply as the club dropped their first points of the season. In his comments to MUTV, Matic said: “if we want to be champions, we have to win games like this because in these games, if you win, you are champion. We have to know against teams like this you have to have a little bit more, you have to be concentrated and of course we’re not happy with a point.”

MOUR PRAISE FOR MATIC

Nemanja Matic was labelled as the best player Jose Mourinho has ever coached in his coaching career by the latter. Mourinho who has been at the helm of teams having superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba and other, the praise for Matic seems flattering. Jose lauded Matic’s personality and desire to win in his comments and used the experience of managing him at Chelsea as an example. Matic was famously subbed on in the 45th minute before being withdrawn in the 75th, something which saw a lot of coverage in the press. But Mourinho revealed that there was no ‘bad blood’ between the player and manager and they ‘kept going’.

HERRERA WILL BE PATIENT

Ander Herrera admitted that he was frustrated at not starting as often that he had last season but insisted that he was here for the long term and would be ready whenever his manager wanted him. Herrera, the club Player of the Year, has found starts hard to come by following the arrival of Nemanja Matic and only started for the first time this season at Stoke. Herrera reckons his time will come and he will be ready to perform whenever picked by Mourinho.

MOURINHO’S LINDELOF BELIEF

Jose Mourinho once again revealed that he believes Victor Lindelof will come good despite a tough start to the campaign. Lindelof has not played a single minute of United’s Premier League season but is expected to start in defence against Basel. Mourinho said that he only signed Lindelof after an extensive study of Lindelof’s life on and off the pitch.
