NO RASH DECISIONS

If rumours are to be believed Marcos Rashford is stalling on signing a new contract with the club. The 19 year-old is supposedly frustrated at his lack of playing time and feels that he has ‘gone backwards’ during this campaign. Rashford has not scored a Premier League goal since the 4-0 thrashing of Leicester in September. But Rashford is tied to the club till 2020 after he signed a new contract at the club just days after Mourinho’s arrival.

POGBA V POGBA

Paul Pogba’s brother Florentin Pogba believes that the tag of the World’s Most Expensive Footballer does not faze his younger sibling. Florentin also says that his brother is also a bad loser. Florentin was quoted as saying, “His head starts buzzing when he loses. I learned to lose and I would say that you’re not losing but learning. But for him, when he loses, he goes mad… He can win all the trophies in the world, but he’ll still be my little brother.” The two though will have to put their love for each other aside when they line up against each other when United take on St. Etienne in the Europa League. It will the first time the two face each other professionally.

REAL SHOCK’ED’?

Manchester United plan to offer star man David de Gea a new contract to ward of interest from Real Madrid. The contract will reportedly increase his wages to THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK. The deal will make him the world’s top paid shot-stopper by a wide margin.

ZLATAN ROLE EXPLAINED

Zlatan Ibrahimovic frustrated fans by dropping deep into the Red’s midfield during the home win over Watford. He explained that the reason for this retreat was to create more space for midfield runners.

“I tried to give them options to play around me, to give the guys more confidence to do that,” explained the Swedish hitman. But he was happy with the role he played in the win. “But I felt good in the game. I got a lot of balls, tried to create and give stability to the team. The only thing I missed was the goal.”

MARTIAL INTERVIEW

Anthony Martial began his career at Olympique Lyon who are fierce rivals with European opponents St. Etienne.

“There was a huge rivalry while I was still at Lyon – it was always a highly-charged atmosphere and they were usually massive games, the kind all players love to play in,” he told in an in-house interview at United.

“So there will be that added competitive edge whenever I play against them. We know it will be a difficult match but if we play with all our quality, I think we can do good things. Of course, it would be great if I could score against them again, but I hope we can win the game because that’s the most important thing, then it would be a bonus if I managed to grab a goal,” said the starlet.

ACROSS THE CHANNEL

Manchester United are reportedly set to be in a bidding war with arch rivals Liverpool over the transfer of Bordeaux starlet Malcolm. The 19 year-old’s form this season in Ligue 1 has attracted the interest of both rivals. Reports also suggest that scouts from both teams watched him play in Bordeaux’s loss to PSG this past week. Malcolm has found the back of the net 4 times in 21 appearances.

MARTIAL TO SPURS?

He has been in and out of the United side before his Man of the Match display against Watford and Spurs feel that fall down the pecking order at United will help their cause.

BELOTTI TO UNITED?

United are reportedly interested in 23 year-old Torino striker Andrea Belotti. He has 17 Serie A goals to his name this campaign and only signed a new four-and-a-half year contract with the club in December.
