Romero- Produced some fine saves, including a brilliant save at the death of the match. 7.5/10

Valencia- His brilliant out bursting runs down the right provided United a threatening outlet towards the goal. Made some dangerous crosses. Great performance overall. 7.5/10

Bailly- Solid performance from the young defender. Made a great block in the second half which proved to be crucial. 7/10

Smalling- Didn’t put a foot wrong. Commanding performance from the United skipper. 7/10

Rojo- Good performance overall by the Argentinian. Made some fine contribution going forward. 7/10

Blind- Calm and composed performance from the Dutch maestro. Was more involved in attacking than in defending. Came off as a precautionary measure after an apparent head injury. 7/10

Herrera- Dominated the midfield. Ripped open the opposition defence with some clever passes on a few occasions. 7/10

Pogba- His pinpoint cross-midfield passes were majestic, to say the least. Finally a performance that justifies his standards. Came off in the beginning of the second half as a precaution. 7.5/10

Mkhitaryan- Made some dangerous runs into the box but lacked the final touch. His cross led to the only goal of the night. Commendable work rate. 8/10

Mata- Once again the Spainard proved to be the difference as he came away with the much needed goal. His vision and passing was supreme. 7.5/10

Ibrahimovic- Decent game overall. Selfish on a few occasions. DWas unlucky and hit the post twice. Provided Mata with a cheeky assist. 7/10

Substitutes

Fellaini (for Pogba)- Great game for the Belgian. Some of his passes were supreme. Made good positions on the field for himself. 7/10

Jones (for Blind)- Decent game. Didn’t get much of the ball, but didn’t put a foot wrong. 6/10
