Mourinho happy to see Zlatan leave, Pogba’s antics anger Mourinho, Bale to United, and more from the Afternoon Bulletin

Mourinho will support Zlatan

Mourinho has claimed that he will be happy even if Zlatan were to leave United after just a solitary season.

‘If the decision is for him to stay and he is happy with that, we are delighted with that.

‘If his decision is to leave and try to find a different challenge, I will be also happy for him.’

Mourinho admitted that even though Zlatan has been a big part of United’s success this season, ‘human’ considerations will be more vital than football ones, in case he decides to leave.

Off-field Pogba angers Mourinho

Mourinho is reportedly losing his patience over Pogba’s ‘distractive’ commercial antics, and has even warned the midfielder to improve his performances or else he would have to bench him. The Portuguese boss, who has time and again defended the French international from critics this season, is said to be wary of his lavish lifestyle and doesn’t want Pogba’s on-field focus to be compromised.

Pereira still dreaming of United

Pereira has told United’s official website that he dreams of playing regularly for United next season. The Brazilian midfielder, who is on a season-long loan at Spanish side Granada, has scored 4 goals in 26 appearances and has been a lone shining spot in a team embroiled in a relegation battle. It is fairly interesting to see him battling the likes of Martial, Young, Lingard, Rashford et al , along with some potential world-class arrivals next season for a place in the United line-up.

Bailly: The next Vidic?

Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic has admitted his admiration for current United centre-back Eric Bailly and believes that he has the potential to be world- class. He said, ”He’s aggressive, he has potential, he’s young and he likes to defend. He has the qualities to go even further.”

The former Serbian international also stated that Bailly, who was United’s player of the month for August, can form a devastating centre-back partnership with Smalling or even Jones this season. Looks like he doesn’t fancy Rojo and Blind!

Ronaldo still helping United?

Reports in Spain claim (yet again) that Gareth Bale is considering a shock summer switch to United, as his frustration on being in Ronaldo’s shadow grows further. Bale has reportedly given an ultimatum to Florentino Perez to either sell Ronaldo in the summer or else risk seeing him join United. With Ronaldo apparently set to stay at the Los Blancos, the idea of Bale donning the United jersey does not seem too stupid.
