COMMITTED?
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has questioned Luke Shaw’s commitment levels and put his Manchester United future in jeopardy. Jose claimed that he cannot compare Shaw to United’s other left-backs Matteo Darmian, Ashley Young and Daley Blind. ‘I cannot compare the way he trains, the way he commits, the focus, the ambition. He is a long way behind.’ The defender who cost United £32m in 2014 has been hampered by the injury he suffered last season and Mourinho’s lack of confidence in him. As of now, he looks set to leave Old Trafford in the summer for opportunities elsewhere.
NEW MAKELELE
Jose Mourinho has told his scouting team to find him a new midfielder made of the same cloth as Claude Makelele and N’Golo Kante. Jose has reportedly blamed his inability to but Kante as they reason for United’s failure to launch a legitimate title challenge this season. United’s scouting team are now looking for the specialist midfielder to play the role of the perfect defensive foil for Paul Pogba. Among the options being considered is Monaco’s Tiemoune Bakayoko. Mourinho rates Herrera and Pogba highly but neither is a natural holder in midfield.
BACK TO CARRINGTON
Manchester United stars were pictured arriving for training ahead of the crunch clash against Everton in the Premier League on Tuesday night. Captain Rooney, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Daley Blind, Marcos Rojo and others were pictured driving into United’s training base as they looked to up the ante in their pursuit of a top-4 spot. United are currently 5 points behind Manchester City in fourth. Also, reportedly Jose Mourinho first called up left-back Luke Shaw for a meeting after public criticism and omission from the match-day squad against West Brom.
NDIDI SURPRISE
Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly battling for Leicester’s Wilfried Ndidi. Ndidi has been in top form since securing a move to the Foxes in January. The midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal last summer. He has been compared with N’Golo Kante for his dominant performances at the King Power and netted his first goals for the club in the weekend’s victory over Stoke City. Southampton and Hamburg are also eyeing a move for the 20-year-old.
THE NEYMAR LINK
Manchester United continue to be linked with a £170m move for Barcelona superstar Neymar in the summer. The striker is arguably the best player on the planet at the moment and will look to become the world’s best-paid player should he decide to move in the summer. If the latest reports are to be believed, then Chelsea will be the only team competing with Manchester United for the Brazilian’s signature. But a move is highly unlikely with Neymar looking settled and happy at the Catalan club.
