Tug-of-War For Tielemens and Young Fires Warning to Rivals

ANOTHER BATTLE WITH CHELSEA

League leaders Chelsea are reportedly ready to battle United for Anderlecht’s Youri Tielemans. The 19-year-old has been impressive all season and put in a sublime display, ensuring that the tie is evenly balanced at 1-1 after the first leg. The Belgian International has also been scouted by PSG, Monaco, Juventus and Inter Milan. The youngster is on the list of top Champions League sides but, Mourinho is believed to be ahead of the queue.

RE-UNITED

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants a reunion with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata. The Spaniard has had limited opportunities in the first team upon his return from Turin and looks set to leave the club in the summer. Antonio Conte is a known admirer of Morata and is expected to make a move for the man. But it was Mourinho who first handed him his debut for Madrid. Mourinho is in the market for a striker irrespective of whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic stays or leaves.

HIS-MANE DEMBELE

Jose Mourinho is pursuing another target in the form of Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele. But, the teenage sensation could cost as much as £50m and Mourinho may make a move for Ivan Perisic if a deal cannot be agreed. Snapping up Dembele is a statement signing for Mourinho but the ideal move may be the one for the Croat International. Dembele is not expected to leave Dortmund after just one season.

JANUZAJ’S FUTURE

With Adnan Januzaj set to leave United in the summer, he is already looking at potential replacements in England itself. The Belgian is keen to stay in the country. A Man United source said: “Adnan wants to stay in England. He’s expected to leave the club in the summer and is not wanted by Jose anymore.” Mourinho also revealed that he had made a decision regarding the Belgian’s future and one can make an educated guess about what the decision is.

RED WARNING

Ashley Young has warned the Premier League high-fliers that United are coming for them. After the defeat of Chelsea, the stand-in Captain said that United are still hot on the heels of Spurs, Man City, and Liverpool. He said: “There have been high standards here since I signed and we want to be pushing on. A lot has been said about how we want to finish fourth but I am that kind of person who wants to achieve more than that. Hopefully, we have a semi-final coming up. If we can play like we did against Chelsea then I am sure we can get through against Anderlecht and into the semis. We want to aim as high as possible.”
