De Gea- 6
Would’ve anticipated a busy night in Rojo’s absence, but had very little to do as Bailly dealt with almost everything on his own.
Started on the left but then shifted to the right as United missed an attacking outlet on the right in Valencia’s absence. Did supplement United’s attack, but his crossing wasn’t good enough.
Another fantastic display from the young Ivorian. His tackles were perfectly timed, and his strength helped him deal well with Burnley’s attack.
Had a decent stand-in for Rojo, but his performance wasn’t convincing enough of a regular spot. Was tormented by Andre Gray’s pace on many occasions.
Solid performance. Didn’t put a foot wrong, but could’ve provided more of an attacking outlet down the left.
Balanced the midfield as Herrera and Pogba focussed on attacking. His aggressiveness was on fault many times as he locked horns with Barnes and Barton.
After Ibrahimovic, he has been United’s best player this season. Quietly makes his team tick, and also provides moments of brilliance. His eagle-eyed first-touch assist for the opener was nothing short of spectacular.
Had an absolutely thrilling match as he bossed the midfield. Helped United win the midfield battle, which eventually helped them win the match. Was involved in the build up to Rooney’s goal.
Was shifted to the left as he didn’t pose much of a problem on the right. His movement was good but his passing and dribbling wasn’t up to the mark today.
Started in the No. 9 position but often shifted to the left. Scored a deflected goal to seal the win. Assured performance from the captain.
Scored a scintillating goal which would boost his confidence. Didn’t do much in the second half but by then the job was done.
Rashford (for Lingard)- 6
Was energetic and pacey, but didn’t have much to do.
Mkhitaryan (for Martial)- 6
Was composed in possession, but didn’t do anything noteworthy.
Carrick (for Pogba)- NA
Came on with very little time left to make an impact.
Subs Not Used- Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Shaw.
