Andreas Pereira (Granada C.F.)
Started in the 2-1 defeat to Osasuna, but was substituted in the 81st minute as Tony Adams’ side looked for an equaliser. His assist for Adrian Ramos’ goal in the 41st minute was simply outstanding. He completed a pinpoint cross from his free-kick which was met by a bullet header from Ramos. He also created a couple of good chances apart from the assist. Following a corner in the 50th minute, his beautiful cross was met by Ruben Vezo’s header from six yards, which was off target. His cross in the 58th minute was headed high by David Lomban from the centre of the box. Pereira’s substitution was, thus, baffling as he looked like the only Granada player who could help his team clinch an equalising goal.
Guillermo Varela (Eintracht Frankfurt)
Was an unused substitute in his side’s 4-2 loss against Mainz 05. Played in last week’s 2-0 defeat to Wolfsburg, but lost his place to Chelsea loanee Michael Hector this time around.
Adnan Januzaj (Sunderland AFC)
Wasn’t included in David Moyes’ squad for the second game in a row, as his side slumped to a 2-0 defeat to Swansea City, who confirmed their top-flight status with the victory.
Sam Johnstone (Aston Villa F.C.)
Played his last game for the Championship side last week, but is being mooted for a permanent transfer at his current side after his loan spell ends in June.
