Bakayoko, Silva & Rodriguez links plus Lingard buys drinks

BAKAYOKO BOOST

Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko. Bakayoko has admitted that it would be impossible for him to join PSG. Speaking to Canal+, Bakayoko said: “‘I can’t leave Monaco to go to PSG. It’s impossible, because I’ve just finished champion ahead of Paris. I can’t leave for a club that has finished behind me. PSG is a club I carry in my heart because I’m a Parisian and I was a supporter of PSG, like my family. They initiated me.”

ADVANCED TALKS

United and Monaco are in advanced talks to bring Bernardo Silva to Old Trafford. The central midfielder recently stated that he wants to play for a top club in a top league and Manchester United is a natural fit. The Portuguese playmaker had a major part in sending Manchester City packing from the Champions League in just the Round of 16. Silva scored 10 goals from midfield in 54 appearances. The potential fee could be in the range of £70m.

“MY NEXT CLUB IS ……”

James Rodriguez has reportedly told his friends and close family that his next destination is Old Trafford. United were offered the attacking midfielder last week by Real Madrid after the Colombian made it clear that he wanted a switch. Madrid will be willing to accept a deal in the range of £50m. Any deal is considered to be independent of the potential deal that sends David de Gea to Old Trafford.

HANDS OFF

Sean Dyche has warned Manchester United and potential suitors of Michael Keane that Burnley won’t sell their star man unless a favourable deal can be struck. It has been previously reported that Burnley are ready to lose their star defender on a free next summer if a suitable deal cannot be reached. United do have the advantage of the sell on clause or the virtual discount coupon on Keane’s transfer.

JESSE’S GESTURE

Jesse Lingard bought drinks for an entire bar filled with Manchester United fans after the Premier League match yesterday. The gesture was said to be a ‘thank you’ to the fans for their support throughout the entirety of the season.

SERG’S DEAL

Jose Mourinho is preparing to offer Sergio Romero a bumper new contract at Old Trafford. Mourinho has been impressed by the Argentine’s competitiveness despite being second choice behind David de Gea. Romero himself has spoken of his desire to be No.1 at Old Trafford. That may be a possibility should De Gea chose to leave Old Trafford for the Santiago Bernabeu.
