More Griezmann & summer plans already in place

FOR MANCHESTER

After last night’s Europa League victory, several players of the Manchester United squad dedicated the win for the people of Manchester after Monday’s tragedy. Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Darmian, Valencia and other members of the squad were quick to pay their respects to the fallen.

GRIEZMANN UPDATES

NOT APPROACHED……..YET

Atletico Madrid President Enrique Cerezo has claimed that Antoine Griezmann has not requested a move away from Atletico Madrid and insisted that no one would pay his £85m release clause anyway. United have been linked with a move for Griezmann for a long time and with qualification to the Champions League secured last night, the move seems inevitable.

MOVING FAST

Antoine Griezmann has expressed desire that Manchester United complete the imminent move within the next 2-3 weeks as he prepares for his holidays and doesn’t want to have the cloud of a transfer saga and the daily rumors above his head during this time.

MOURINHO ON GRIEZMANN

Jose Mourinho was quick to turn down questions on his team’s chase of Ballon D’or nominee Antoine Griezmann. When asked about Griezmann, Mourinho said: I do not want to talk about Griezmann because that would be disrespectful to his club, Atletico. ‘Just how I do not like others talking about by my players, I’m not going to talk about Antoine either.’

POGBA’S REVEALATION

In the aftermath of United’s Europa League victory, Paul Pogba offered fans an insight into the celebrations through Instagram Live. In the video, he made several references to Griezmann’s imminent arrival. Pogba mimicked Griezmann’s trademark Hotline Bling goal celebration before throwing a knowing look at the camera and saying, “happy face”. As he walked around the bus taking the United squad to their plane back to Manchester, he can also be heard saying, “Griezmann is not here… yet!” The two are close and Pogba may have to play agent to convince Griezmann should he still have reservations about a move.

SUMMER PLANS DRAWN UP LONG BACK

Jose Mourinho revealed that he handed a list of transfer targets to Ed Woodward a couple of months back. United are set for a busy summer and Mourinho has already got players in his crosshairs. Speaking after last night’s victory, Mourinho said: “Ed Woodward has my list, what I want, what I would like for more than two months. So now it’s up to him and the owners. But I don’t care about football for now.”
