Developments in the potential transfers of Perisic, Matuidi, Keane and co.

HOTTING UP IN MILAN

Inter Milan have confirmed United’s interest in Ivan Perisic. United have been heavily linked with the Croat and it looks like he will make the move from Milan to Manchester. Inter director, Piero Ausilio said: “United haven’t made us an official offer but the interest is there. We want to improve Inter and that is why there are no unsellable players as of now. We know that we already have many important players within our roster like Perisic and before we decide to sell him, we have to think about what’s best for Inter.”

UNSETTLED?

Manchester United target Blaise Matuidi refused to confirm whether he will start next season with PSG. United’s interest in the Frenchman is no secret and with just a single year left on his contract, he may be available for a cut price fee this summer. The 30-year-old said: “Don’t know yet. I am feeling good in Paris. It’s hard as you don’t know the real position of the club. PSG made a proposition to me. They are open to everything when it comes to me. There is no decision taken so far. Honestly, I don’t want to lie, I don’t know yet. I am feeling good in Paris. Even if in the future I should leave, Paris stays the club of my heart. And it would always be like that.”

SECRET AGENT LINGARD

Jesse Lingard was seen holidaying on the beaches on Dubai with long term United target Michael Keane. The two are International teammates, though Keane will not be joining Lingard for the latest set of internationals. It would not come as a surprise if Lingard removes any lingering doubts Keane may have about the potential switch to Old Trafford.

“WATCH THIS SPACE”

Paul Pogba dropped another hint that Antoine Griezmann is joining United. Pogba said: “”Play with Antoine Griezmann next season? Watch this space.” This is not the first time that Pogba has hinted towards a potential move for Griezmann. It is also rumored that Griezmann has told Pogba he wants the No.7 jersey previously worn by his childhood idol David Beckham.

Atletico meanwhile while remain calm about the situation. Club President, Enrique Cerezo continues to claim that Griezmann is not going anywhere. But Cerezo may have no option but to sell should United trigger Griezmann’s release clause, as is expected of the club.

LINDELOF BIDDING WAR

Manchester United and Roma are set to go head to head in a bidding war to secure the signature of Swede Victor Lindelof. United have been heavily linked with the defender but recently that interest has cooled down with United targeting Michael Keane.
