Zlatan on his way out as another Swede edge ever closer

MEDICAL SOON

Manchester United are on the verge of completing a transfer for £35m for defender Victor Lindelöf. Portuguese outlet Record claim that a deal has been agreed with the clubs and the player will jet into Manchester soon for a medical after Sweden’s fixture against France. Mourinho sees him as the perfect partner for Eric Bailly. United will finally get their man after deciding against a transfer in January.

NO MORE

Alvaro Morata has given an ultimatum to Real Madrid through his agent, Juanma Lopez. Lopez said: “Alvaro is a player who wants to play a more important role. He wants to play more. Which is normal for an attacker who has scored 19 goals. It is too little. I do not know [if he will stay at Madrid]. This has been a brilliant for Real Madrid who have won many titles. The player will take a clear and definitive decision in the coming days. I have not yet met with the representatives from Real Madrid.”

Mourinho has also confided to close friends, confirming his interest in the player.

ROONEY MIGHT YET STAY

Wayne Rooney is reportedly considering to extend his stay at Old Trafford by another year. His mega £250k a week deal ends next year with the option of extending for another year. Mourinho is open to Rooney staying, but Rooney wants to go to Russia with England for the World Cup and may yet move seeking more playing time. However, not many clubs can match the contract Rooney has at Old Trafford.

REIGN OVER?

Manchester United have reportedly decided against offering Zlatan Ibrahimovic a new deal and will release him. Ibrahimovic is set to be out until the New Year after suffering a knee ligament injury. But the club might yet make a U-turn and decide to extend his contract after all.

SPECIAL EXPERIENCE

Paul Pogba was full of praise for Jose Mourinho. Pogba admits Jose Mourinho is Special as his side stormed to three trophies despite having a ‘below-par’ season in the League. Pogba said: “He is the Special One because he wins. Sometimes he does extreme things. Against Chelsea, he changed our tactical formation just before the game. We had never trained it before but it worked out well. That was Special. He won three trophies in his first year, that is Special as well. He deserves his name.”

BELOTTI SET FOR TALKS

Manchester United will open talks with Torino with regards to the transfer of Andrea Belotti. The Italian club has rejected advances from AC Milan. United will bid only after the Morata transfer-saga is resolved. Belotti has a £85m release clause and scored 29 goals in all competition becoming one of Europe’s hottest properties.
