Youngster Leaves On Loan & Dendoncker Fee Revealed

GALA TIME

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is reportedly being lined up by Turkish side Galatasaray. The Turkish giants confirmed that they are in negotiations with United over a proposed move. Respected Turkish outlets also reported that the Belgian has agreed personal terms with Galatasaray. Galatasaray’s sporting director went on record saying: “We have a surprise name for a position. We have had talks with Marouane Fellaini. We need a player like Fellaini who can shuttle around in midfield. We have made an approach, we are close.”

INBOUND MIDFIELDER

With the imminent departure of Marouane Fellaini, it is widely expected that United will complete the signing of a defensive midfielder, most likely Nemanja Matic. With the in-season departures of Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin, United do not have squad depth in the center of the pitch, with just Paul Pogba and Ander Herrera recognised as traditional central midfielders. An agreement for Matic is reportedly being held up with the Champions insisting on inserting bonus clauses in the deal. Negotiations are well underway and a breakthrough in talks is expected in the coming hours, if not days.

LOAN MOVE CONFIRMED

Academy graduate Devonte Redmond has joined League One side Scunthorpe United on loan until January 2018. This will be the 20-year-old Redmond’s first loan spell away from the club. Despite not making a senior appearance for the Reds, Redmond has been a consistent feature in United’s youth and reserve teams.

DEMBELE DISMISSES LINKS

Manchester United target Ousmane Dembele has dismissed speculation linking him to several of the top European clubs including Barcelona and Manchester United. Speaking to outlet Bild, Dembele said: “Quite honestly, the speculation doesn’t interest me. There was speculation during the entire summer break. I like to be in Dortmund and I have consciously chosen this club after my time at Rennes.”

CHEAP PRICE

Manchester United have lined up a cheaper alternative to Nemanja Matic should the move fall through. Linked with Leander Dendoncker over the past week, Anderlecht named the price for which they would sell their star man. Anderlecht’s sports manager Herman Van Holsbeeck said: “We want to cherish him, but if a club is willing to pay €25-35 million (£22-27m), we have a problem, Against Manchester United, he has shown twice that he has the potential to play at a top European club. We are lucky that the Champions League will not start until September, otherwise, we’d have certainly lost him. We would like to see Leander here another year, to work together for a transfer next summer. Just as we did with [Youri] Tielemans.”

6th TOUR FIXTURE
