Bale Interests Jose But Zidane Is Having None Of It

UNITED INTEREST CONFIRMED

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho confirmed that his side will make a move for Welshman Gareth Bale should the opportunity to sign him arise. United have a long term interest in Bale. With United in the market for a winger this summer and the move for Perisic all over, Bale is one of the most likely wingers to join United. Mourinho was quoted as saying: “‘If he’s not in the club’s plans and what you are writing is true, the arrival of another player, then Gareth would be on his way out of Real Madrid, I would try to be waiting for him on the other side and be fighting with the other coaches who would like to have him on their team. If he plays it would be the best confirmation that he is wanted by the team.”

DANNY ROSE LINKED

Manchester United are reportedly keeping an eye on the situation of Danny Rose at Tottenham. Rose is close to making his comeback from injury and is on the radar of a number of clubs. Inter Milan are another club monitoring the situation. Tottenham are reportedly waiting for an official approach from clubs and are willing to part with the player should the right offer come.

FOSU-MENSAH MOVE ‘CONFIRMED’

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho revealed that Timothy Fosu-Mensah did not make the trip along with the rest of the Manchester United squad because he was gearing up for a loan move to Crystal Palace. He will complete his move sooner rather than later.

ZIDANE DEFLECTS BALE TALK

Zinedine Zidane deflected questions rising from the Gareth Bale to United transfer rumors and claimed that the player was doing ‘fine’. United boss openly admitted that he would love to sign a player of the caliber of Bale. Zidane said: “The important thing is the player is fine. He’s had no issues in training, and that’s important. The end of his season wasn’t easy for him, injured, but I’m happy for him and what’s important is what we do, not what someone else says.”

BID REJECTED

Manchester United made a bid for Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto earlier this week. The bid believed to be around £36m was rejected by the Catalan club. Roberto fits the bill of a typical Mourinho utility player in midfield who can fill in as and when required. United previously tried to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona.

BACK TO THE STATES

Jose Mourinho wants his side to return to the United States ahead of the 2018-19 campaign. The club are exploring the possibility of travelling to the Far East, but Mourinho prefers a move to the States where his side would have better training facilities and pitches. United have looked at the possibility of travelling to China and playing there as part of a tournament but Jose is expected to have a meeting with the club Chiefs and persuade them that another trip to the US is better.
