Scoping the Transfer Market

With the transfer window open, all the top teams are looking to add. To improve in certain positions, to add to team depth or just for the fear of being left behind by rivals, all teams look at this window with interest.

Manchester United currently second, one point ahead of Chelsea and fifteen behind favourites City. Ed Woodward has given his trusted manager a decent chunk of money, to improve and add to depth for Europe and the Premier League.

Here’s looking at a few players Manchester United have been linked to. Although there are reports that United will give the selling club the option to sell and then get the player back on loan for the rest of the 2017/18 season.

Lucas Moura – 38 million Euros

If this Brazilian has something, it is pace and in abundance. The PSG right winger likes to take on players and United could do with that from the right wing.

He has found it difficult to cement a starting spot in PSG after Neymar and Mbappe came in. He’s 25 and with the World Cup this summer this could be the chance to make a move.

Malcolm – 17 million Euros

This Bordeaux right winger is again Brazilian and plays right wing but is left footed. He could be the understudy to Moura. Malcolm has a lot of flair and runs at players. He shoots with both feet decently as well.

He’s also just 20 and could only improve from here on in and may become better with the likes of Martial, Rashford, Lingard, Pogba beside him.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – 55 million Euros

This one looks like it is destined for the summer window after he said “I had a year to remember. I’d like to go forward with the same success in 2018,” to an Italian news agency. But this midfielder is just 22 and seems to be an integral part of the Lazio squad.

He’s made 17 appearances and scored 5 for his team this season so far. Lazio will surely play hardball over this, but United have shown in recent times that they’ll get someone if they really want to.

With Mourinho, all of these could be diversions from the actual targets, but I stand with the manager, so if you aren’t a fan, here you have been hogwashed. Cheers!
