Jack Fletcher – Midfielder Man United

It is always nice for Manchester United supporters when the club manages to get one over on its fierce rivals Manchester City, which is why the arrival of Jack Davidson Fletcher from the Etihad stands out.

Born on the 19th of March 2007, Fletcher and his twin brother, Tyler, both made their way through the Manchester City Academy before signing for the Red Devils for a combined fee of £1.25 million in the July of 2023. By the November, Fletcher had been invited to take part in first-team training, signing a professional contract not long after he turned 17 in 2024.

In the August of that year, the midfielder struck twice in a 3-2 win over Barnsley in the EFL Trophy, playing for the Under-21s in spite of his relatively young age. The brothers are the sons of former Manchester United player Darren Fletcher, which is why they have such an affinity for the football club. Having played for Scotland’s Under-16s briefly, he decided to play for England whilst Tyler remained a Scottish player, with the boys qualifying through their parentage. He appeared on the United bench in both the Premier League and Europa League during the 2024-2025 campaign.
