Louis Jackson – Defender Man United

Born on the 18th of September 2005 in Oldham, Louis Paul Jackson was brought up in Trafford. When he was just five-years-old he became a season ticket holder at Old Trafford, so you could say that playing for the Red Devils was his destiny.

He joined the Academy when he was a ten-year-old, then when he was only 15, he became the youngest player ever to feature for the club’s Under-23 side. He was part of the Red Devils squad that went on to win the FA Youth Cup in 2022, then in the October of that year, he signed his first professional contract with the club.

In spite of his age, he was named on the Manchester United bench for an FA Cup game against Coventry City during the 2023-2024 season, although he was unused. He was also an unused sub against Sheffield United, Burnley, and Crystal Palace, providing him with a wealth of experience of life at a top-flight club.

In the February of 2025, Jackson was sent on loan to Tranmere Rovers for the remainder of the season. Thanks to the fact that he was born in Oldham, he has been able to play for the England Under-16s, whilst he is also eligible to play for Scotland and has done so at numerous age levels.
