Radek Vítek – Goalkeeper Man United

Born on the 24th of October 2003 in the Czech Republic town of Vsetín, Radek Vítek impressed as a youngster and was playing for the Sigma Olomouc Under-19s side when he was just 16-years-old. On the first of July 2020, Vítek left the Czech side in order to join the youth setup of Manchester United, working his way through the club’s various youth teams, doing enough to mean that Accrington Stanley decided to sign him on loan from the Red Devils on the 27th of January 2024.

He made his debut for the club in a game against Forest Green Rovers, keeping a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.

Having performed well for Accrington Stanley, Vítek returned to Manchester United in the summer of 2024. On the 21st of August it was confirmed that he would be heading to the Austrian Bundesliga. That was thanks to the fact that he signed a season-long loan deal to play for Blau-Weiß Linz.

Having made 18 appearances for Accrington Stanley, he then became the first-choice goalkeeper of the mid-table Austrian side. Goalkeeper is obviously a position that the Red Devils have seen some big names play over the years, including the likes of Peter Schmeichel and David de Gea.
