Reece Munro – Defender Man United

Reece Munro was born in London on the 16th of December 2006. He moved to Manchester United and began making his way through the club’s Academy system, making 15 appearances for the Under-18s during the 2023-2024 campaign. That was when the young Red Devils won the Under-18s Premier League, as well as the Premier League Cup. His solid work at the back, where he can play as either a centre-back or a full-back depending on the manager’s requirements, resulted in him captaining the Under-18s on a number of occasions in the 2024-2025 season.

In February, Munro stepped up to play with the Under-21s, starting every game in the FA Youth Cup campaign that only came to an end when the Red Devils lost to Aston Villa, the eventual winners. When Ruben Amorim named his squad for the opening pre-season friendly with Leeds United, Munro was amongst the substitutes. It came in the same summer that he signed his first professional contract, which happened thanks to the fact that his representation, Unique Sports Group, was able to convince United that he was worth the long-term investment because of his ability.
