Tyler Fletcher – Midfielder Man United

Elsewhere on this site, you can read about Jack Fletcher. Tyler Fletcher is his twin, aiming to emulate his father Darren by playing in midfield for Manchester United. Interestingly, although the pair are both looking for a midfield spot, they have elected to play for different countries.

Jack Fletcher opted to play for the country of his birth, whilst Tyler decided to follow in his dad’s footsteps and play for Scotland. That meant that they went head-to-head in the November of 2025 when England and Scotland played each other in a European Under-19 qualifying match.

Another interesting fact about the two of them is that they actually started out at the Red Devils’ fierce rivals, having been accepted into the academy of Manchester City. In the end, though, it was only ever United that the pair wanted to play for, which is why they both made the move.

Tyler’s debut campaign with the club saw him play six times in the league for the Under-18s and Under-21s, showing his quality throughout the 2024-2025 campaign. He was a big part of the Red Devils team that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-final, playing regularly wherever he could.
